KMailCvtI pursue a plan to only use Linux at home and at the office. For my home computer, this happens already since 1 1/2 years. However, at the office I had one mayor problem: my E-Mail (I'm also the postmaster of the company). I like the KDE project because of it's clear and clever internal design, it's speed and it's "project coolness factor". The e-mail client, kmail, is quite nice: easy to use, fast, powerful, more secure as MS Outlook and Outlook Express. However, I had lot's of e-mails in my Windows-based Pegasus-Mail folders. So when I wanted to switch away from Windows to KDE I had to find a way to convert my mails. Fortunately, there is already a program to convert mails: kmailcvt. It is part of the kdenetwork package. I wrote the part that imports Pegasus-Mail mails. Actually, I import three types of mails:
However, I am not importing the hierarchy of the various folders. DownloadJust download kdenetworks from one of the KDE mirrors. The code is contained in kdenetworks beginning with version 2.1. | |||||||||||||||
